For example a group of let's say 10 groups of tanks spread too wide will easily fall to an equal force in one focal point, as in our case the former group only has one group to engage in time, allowing the latter group to burst through their lines a-la France in ww2.įor me this works wonders especially in the T-62 as I can utilize speed and mass in combat by overwhelming them, I am on top of them before they can respond properly and I can accurately put rounds down range withthe gyro. If a commander spreads his tanks out, he can be breached by an enemy force that is using proper Schwerpunkt tactics. Without numbers you can choose to defend critical points against attack. At the very least it's a strategy, but it's quite applicable in battle if you have the numbers. Breaking through that allows you to smash apart the rest of their lines from their tender rear. Instead it's superior firepower on a single target in a small area across a front. Human wave in its sterotyped definition is definitely not the idea. The lack of close range optics works against it here, so it takes concentration on the gunner's part, and careful planning not to allow MPATs to engage the T-62 in the sides or rear.
The stabalizer works very well with the PKT, and the higher caliber gun has better HE-F shells. Aside from that, the T-62 is also better at engaging infantry in the environments covered, except for right around the Shatt al-Arab river, where the M60's. The T-62 works well in more confined areas, where the stabalized gun combined with superior APFSDS rounds come in handy, but after about 1km of distance, other tanks start becoming more effective (except for the Olifant, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ armor lets sabot rounds in even past battlesight range). The APDS rounds may be dated, but they can still penetrate tank armor at close range. The TC's machine gun allows him to engage infantry while the gunner is focused on AFVs. The FCS makes it easier to land HEAT rounds at long range, where sabot rounds lose effectiveness.
